Effective 13 December 2024, non-citizens acquiring residential properties must now pay 85% of the purchase price in Mauritius rupees, with the remaining 15% in either foreign currency or Mauritius rupees. These measures aim to strengthen the local economy while ensuring compliance with international financial standards.
